How to learn SAP - How to get into SAP

Getting into SAP requires domain expeiance, if you are a programmer then you can go for technical module. If you are looking for functional modules then you should have relevent domain experiance of at least two years.
There are various institutes offering SAP courses with good ones lile Siemens, Genovate, Reliance, BCPL, etc.
Basic training costs around $3800 to $5000, that there are alot of bad training places, SAP india and Siemens rank near the top.
Some institutes offer online SAP courses which is also becomming popular now a days lile online. acm.org computer society has lots of courses on SAP. You can browse the training catalog course titles before joining, $109/year. com2learn.com has some courses, $500 plus for $149 you can login to actual SAP system to try what you learned. books24x7.com has 90 or so books with SAP in title you can read online, and several hundred with references to SAP products. This is a subscription site. There's an ABAP simulator you can buy from an Australian company. You should visit sites with sap articles such as sapinsider, etc. and also attend free webinars on SAP products. Being a a large product, there are quite a few positions you could be in. using the product, training users, configuring, reporting / BI, web portions, interfacing, programming java or abap, xml. guruischools.com has some courses but they are kind of 'thrown together' and don't ask questions while you are taking them so you are better off reading a book.

SAP Learning cost is a bit too expensive in my country. I always find the free resources on internet. That should save a ton of money for learning.

Hi Friends,

I'm Naresh Gupta, working for a Giant based out of Germany as Sr. SAP Basis/ Netweaver Consultant. I've 7+ years of total experience and 5+ years of relevant experience with Certifications in OCA & MCP aswell.

People looking to get trained in SAP Basis/ Netweaver by a Real Time experienced faculty & want to boost his career into SAP Basis/ Netweaver with realtime experience can contact me.

I'ld like to share the benifits of the training from me over any institute: First of all, as anyone would know that 90% instiutes donot have realtime faculties. Secondly, there you will only learn or you can say you will only go through the Bookish part which you can even read & learn. But, I help the students as per my realtime experience, with scenarios which will really help you to get the core/ depth knowledge on the things working in the industry.

I'll help you with not only SAP Basis on R3 systems, but also with SAP ECC, BW/BI, EP (ESS/MSS), BOBJ Administration, Oracle DBA concepts, Backup/ Restore, Solution Manager configuration, & all updated tools as of today and that too all on Windows as well as on Unix platforms.

Also, you would be able to clear the interviews only if you really know how System Copy/ Refresh happens, Database upgrades, Client Copies, System Upgrades, Implementation & Integration of Backend servers with the frontend products. You should have indepth knowledge on the above scenarios as nowadays no one would ask you how kernel patching is done or how you create a user & will pay you 3-5 lacs.

One more thing I'ld like to advice here is even if you are thinking of any institute or any other resource, but always keep in mind that infrastructure of the centres really doen't matter, what will matter is the knowledge/ experience of the faculty & the way he express himself.

But, please make sure, by no means I'm assuring or promising anyone that after completion of the training from me you will be placed in the companies as it all depends on how you perform & how much you have worked hard. But one thing I can assure that if you really follow the Project Skills, Scenarios given by me, you can crack any interview in SAP Basis/ Netweaver.

ALL THE BEST!!!

Thanks & Regards

Hi All,
Please read this carefully.

We a batch of 14 candidates joined SAP CRM course at Vertion IT, where jawahar is teaching. We were guided by our seniors who heard about him. But after we joined and paid full fees within 10 days we realized the blunder we did. 1st module Base customization was finished in just 10 days. Not understanding any topic we were confused what to do. Then we decided to attend demos, started hunting for good faculty for SAP CRM. Atlast we found Ramcharan after attending 5 classes of different faculties. Ramcharan is passionate about SAPCRM and Training. We could not hesitate to ask him to allow us as a batch to join and we paid fees immediately. So it's a lesson for all those who blindly follow suggestions of their friends, seniors or colleagues. Don't be blind and waste your money and time. Keep open yourself and try to find good faculties. Time is precious than anything and with time you either loose or gain confidence.

Prasu said...

Whatever, anyone who wants to do a course need to see 3 important things
1. Trainer's knowledge
2. Presentation skills(make us comfortable and confident)
3. Trainer's discipline
If you find 3 things in any faculty join bliindly. Don't get influenced by friends or institute names. You can attend demo right? Attend, enquire and join. It's not money which will get wasted if you join wrong institute or wrong faculty, It's 1. Time 2. Confidence and 3. Josh/Zeal which you loose. And it is very difficult to get them back.
Just to add to help SAP seekers i have seen faculty Mr. Ramcharan who has these 3 qualities. He will not make any kind of promises nor will get you job. He will impart the necessary knowledge to be successful and confident. He has tremendous knowledge and fabulous expressive skills and is highly desciplined. You see such type very rarely.

Recently completed training online in sap-crm and felt satisfied with the knowledge and explanation. It's very difficult to find genuine faculties that too online. I have been waiting for a faculty who has decent knowledge and explain well and being in some other location, with busy schedule everyday, without seeing faculty directly it is risky. After seeing my friend's reviews about rcstudentclub i attended demo online and later joined the course. I was happy the way RC took classes and the patience he has to explain again and again.

http://rcstudentclub.wordpress.com/ is helpful for all those who want to undergo online training in sap-crm from Ramcharan sir and this dedicated student community will suggest faculties/institutes genuinely for other modules also.Hope they introduce other modules soon.
With best regards

God bless his passion.

All the sap consultants who are working in SD, ABAP, CRM functional & Technical definitely need to know and learn Middleware. Understanding the replication from CRM to R/3 back-end system and the different loads (initial & delta loads) and middleware connections and request load for objects will be very useful for them. Only one faculty RamCharan sir at hyderabad is explaining and teaching middleware course both classroom and online. visit http://rcstudentclub.wordpress.com/ and get details like course curriculum, duration etc. Make the most out of this excellent opportunity. Good luck

Don't believe BESAP institute-Hyd and faculty their. They have collected 15 k from me for crm course and faculty comes first 10 days, later he disappears. When he will conduct classes no information, Suddenly we get message that today class is on. When asked institute they keep on faculty and we cannot find faculty. This institute is just for money making and not for serious training. Never join BESAP : the worst institute and worst service.

Sujeet said...

I have been through couple of courses at hyderabad-Abap and crm. Before coming just enquired about faculties and later joined. To my astonishment both were simply superb in presentation Mr.Anku reddy and Mr.Ramcharan. The notes both give is vast and can refer any time in future, no need of any other printed material. You have to search such faculties who have real passion towards teaching and later join. Don't just go by the crowd.

Hi Abap brothers, myself Allen from Goa working for HCL as ABAP consultant for last 4 years. Recently i was shifted to a new project to work on crm. As i worked on purely technical side, it was very difficult for me to understand the business process and concepts, but i was forced to work as their is huge shortage of crm functional guys. Still many crm projects are in queue to complete and company will push Abap consultants, so be prepared and learn crm functional fast.
Christ bless, i found online training from Ramcharan sir. He made me so strong and confident in the topics. He made me feel that I am in classroom, continuous interaction in online class always made me to be attentive and i learned well. His notes is very useful in my daily work. My sincere thanks and best wishes to him.
Ramcharan sir passion and presentation is just PHENOMENAL,
Notes is SUFFICIENT and
Examples he uses are EXCEPTIONAL.

Please be careful before you pay fees to any institute. Last year our batch of 25 students got cheated by Jawahar-Vertion IT at Hyd as he ran away with money and institute told us he is undergoing some surgery, this everyone knows. From that time i have been behind institute to get back my money. They told he will come soon and will continue our classes, he took may be 10 classes before he ran away, but didn't pay my money back.
At last he came back 2 months back and started classes again for new batches. When i went institute they told to sit in one of the batches.
In the last 2 months he took around 22 classes, teaching us the enduser job and now says course is completed.
Institute says course is completed as i sat for total 32 classes.
Not knowing what to do with the half knowledge and wasted my hardend sales money and time I am writing this atleast some people who will read will not suffer.

Mustaq said...

Nagaraj BESAP institute is even worst, you atleast attended 30 classes and learned enduser work, but we wasted 2 months and 15k with no clarity on subject and later realized.
Our batch of 10 have suffered a huge loss of confidence and went back to our regular jobs with this worst SAP nightmare. I suggest to all never go to BESAP institute at Hyd.
Md.Mustaq

Never go to Besap, it's having worst faculty and worst service, no care for students.

Badri said...

Yes mustaq i also lost my money with BESAP and later i spent again to learn with RC. I plead all the sap students to write comments on worst faculties and worst institutes so people like me will not get lost in the crowd. Kindly highlight who is not good along with who is good.
I write this with full of burning stomach, people will curse this BESAP.

Shamili said...

I wasted 15k at BESAP,Hyd and no one at institute is caring to answer. This institute will never grow.

Anonymous said...

BESAP institute Hyderabad is the best in providing worst service, worst facilities, worst faculty, worst material. Join any institute but not this, unless you want to spend money and time for a place for useless chatting.

Abhijeet said...

I didn't understand what i was learning in the course till i attended a interview.
I got the shock for my life when interviewer laughed at the answers which i gave.
She said whatever answers i was telling is the work of the endusers who will use the customized software done by SAP consultants.

I could not realize this in course time, as i was entirely new for SAP and whatever Besap institute faculty was telling i practiced that sincerely.

I came back from interview directly to the institute and asked faculty.
He said to my surprise that interviewer might not know the subject and she might be from other technology not from SAP-CRM.
Why these people spoil our lives without complete knowledge on the subject and without experience.

Be cautious before you join any institute.

Anonymous said...

SAP seekers, never pay fees in BESAP, Hyd, its only for making money.
No Regular classes, No Regular faculty, No Lab facilties, No answer by anyone in institute and No care for students.
Do not waste your money and time here.
Every institute will be good in atleast one thing, but BESAP is good for NOTHING.
I wasted my money, so warning all of you.

Hi, have been working as ABAP programmer since 3 years. Got bored of coding and wanted to shift to functional side of sap, luckily our company got a project on crm and i jumped into it but i don't know functional side of business and wanted to learn crm, then started searching and inquired. So many faculties are good but they lack complete knowledge as they would have practiced only core module. Now a days only learning core concept is not helpful, you need to know indepth about all the topics then only you can survive and your clients will prefer you to be in the project.
My friend suggested to join Ramcharan sir's course who actually explains complete module indepth including SD concepts, Middleware settings, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Service and gives notes which is very helpful in day to day work. Being at Bangalore i attended online course and feel 100% confident. Thanks a ton RC sir. You made my life easy.
Sincerely appreciating his effort..........Kausalya

Recently completed online training in sap-crm from Ramcharan sir. I felt happy and satisfied with his way of interaction and almost felt that am in a classroom.
His knowledge is vast in Business processes and SD concepts. And middleware including integration with backend R/3 syatem with point to point notes is helpful in preparing even after completion of course.
It's rare to find such kind of trainer in the market.

Hi friends,
Am a student of Ramcharan sir and completed course in July 2012. Our batch of 28 students have been happy throughout the course duration and are fully satisfied with his teaching.

Main thing which made us to feel motivated was his punctuality and discipline. RC sir never cancels class.

The notes which he dictates in class is extremely helpful in preparing interviews and information which he imparts to us is vast in crm module including sd concepts and middleware.

I am thankful to him from bottom of my heart and happy to inform that i got job last week. Hope my batch mates also will get jobs soon.

Cheers
